10.11.08 JT & Co. Carve up the Tanks

The Taree Tanks continued to struggle for numbers, fitness and cohesion on the end of a 4-9 thrashing at the hands of JT's Parkers. With Macca (again the stand out) collecting 2 well deserved tries, Paff and Willow also secured touchdowns.

3.11.08 Streaked by the Streakies

In one of the slowest paced games ever played, "welcome to first grade boys!" was about all that can be said of the Tanks 1-7 capitulation at the hands of Streaky at Best. Playing with 6 players for the first half (thanks to Worland's sleep in and second half appearance), Streaky found it hard not to score off every set of 6. Clearly a class above the Tanks, The Streakies played with 5 for most of the match as one player served baby sitting duties on the side-line. Paff picked up the Tanks only try and award himself MVP for his efforts.

27.10.08 A draw opens the new season

The Taree Tanks opened the new summer 2008/09 season with a hard fought 3 all draw against the Dirty Sanchezs in very warm and trying conditions. With cries of "no-one told me this was Bikram Touch", the tanks grouped together 7 players in a real test of fitness in the very warm conditions. Whilst quite rusty after a long off-season, the Tanks showed glimpses in their first grade debut, with ever reliable Macca yet again a stand-out. Smithy Jrn in his first appearance for the Tanks snared the first try of the season, with run away tries to Trotts and Paff the other touchdowns. Also on debut, Bonza showed the grit and determination that has seen him brought into the club.

20.10.08 Major sponsor extends deal

The tanks executive announced today the signing of a new major sponsorship deal with the Attache Software Centre North Sydney (ASCNS). The three season deal is an extension on the previous agreement with the club, and is rumoured to be by far the largest sponsorship in the Cammeraygal Touch Competition's history. The announcement is a major boost to the already thriving Tanks club. ASCNS CEO Matt Paff says he is "delighted with extending the partnership with the Tanks. Being aligned to a brand as well known and easily recognisable as the Taree Tanks, is a major boost for our organisation". Taree Tanks President Matt Paff was equally upbeat when he declared "this is fantastic for our club and all our fans. ASCNS is such a first-class organisation, we are excited by the level professionalism this relationship brings to our club".
